GATEHOUSE OF THE PORT OF NAZARÉ, 2022

With the aim of creating a new identity for the entrance to the port area of Nazaré, and with the ambition of transforming this place, a conceptual approach is adopted that brings together and reconciles all the issues associated with this building typology and its function.

The idea of transparency and reflection is materialised through geometries in which mirrored surfaces contribute to the volumetric dematerialisation of the architectural forms.

A set of relevant references is brought together to provide a response to the challenges of this project.
